Glory to Jesus Christ!
Dear international students and guests,
following the decision of the Government of Ukraine No. 211 from March 11, 2020, and the explanatory letter of the Ministry of Education and Science No. 1/9-154 from March 11, 2020, on the announcement of quarantine in institutions of higher education, the UCU administration decided to join to the efforts to prevent the potential spread of the virus in Ukraine since March 12. Accordingly, on Monday, March 16, the standard educational process will be replaced by e-learning regime until April 3, which can be prolonged according to the current situation at that time and by the regulations of the central and local authorities.
By agreeing to this step, we are first and foremost concerned with your safety and our shared responsibility for public health. We ask you to understand the transition to the online format and the need to take care of your health.
We urge you to act by the following decisions of the UCU administration:
- The transition to the online-learning format will be based on the CMS of UCU. Please check your access to the system, your passwords and your registration in e-classrooms of a particular course.
- Keep in touch with the academic director of your study program, make sure you have a good internet connection, and follow the daily newsletter that comes to your UCU mailboxes, messages on UCU’s website and official social networking pages.
- To avoid threats from public gatherings, starting on Monday, March 16, all UCU Collegium buildings will be open only to students who have a special permit. Those who cannot leave the UCU Collegium on time should apply to the Collegium administration – collegium@ucu.edu.ua
- Trapezna, other canteens, the Sheptytsky Center and the library, will also be closed for visitors from March 16.
- All teachers will conduct the classes in e-learning format (via UCU’s CMS, using online tools for studies – such as Zoom, Google Meet, etc.). If you have not been yet informed of how the classes will be held and what your tasks are, contact the academic director of your study program.
- We strongly recommend you to follow the official UCU mailing system, take care of your health and take into account the recommendations of the World Health Organization, and avoid panic. The UCU takes these measures solely for preventive purposes.
Thank you for your understanding!
