Health Insurance

The health insurance is necessary and obligatory for all international guests staying at Ukrainian Catholic University. Please note that international health insurance must be valid on the territory of Ukraine and cover basic medical aid cost and your travel expenses which may arise. If you want to buy the health insurance certificate in Ukraine, please check the list of Ukrainian insurance companies that have licenses for realization of medical insurance policies.

In case of emergency, please call 103 or 911 – Municipal First Aid / Ambulance.

Please note that the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky hospital provides treatment for UCU under contract. However, services are provided exclusively in Ukrainian language.

For dental emergency, you can contact Perfect Dent Clinic (while arranging an appointment, please inform that you are the UCU guest). The clinic provides services in English.

Accommodation

Most of UCU international guests live in the University Center (UCU Guest rooms) located in the Patriarch Josyf Slipyj Collegium on Kozenytska campus with single or double rooms. Each room is fully furnished and has a separate bathroom and WC, refrigerator, towels and free Wi-Fi access. Bedding and bedclothes are included. There is also a kitchen of common use (without cooking) on the floor with a microwave, kettle, kitchen utensils and drinking water. The Reception Office we will offer you a unique service as they are always ready to help our guests with any questions.

Arriving and settling in

Please, inform us about your arrival to Lviv at least one week beforehand. You can write an e-mail notification to international@ucu.edu.ua. It is recommended to arrange your arrival during working days and at least one day before the mobility/teaching/training starts. Please, check the UCU Academic Calendar.

Collegium location information:

Our main campus is located on Kozelnytska street 2, Lviv in the center of the academic campus of Ukrainian Catholic University, up to the city’s largest park – Stryiskyy park.

If you arrive in Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport (LWO), you need to go from the airport to the I. Vyhovsky street and take the bus №16. Go by bus to the bus stop ‘Street. Kozelnytska / Panas Mirny’. Public transport fare is 5 UAH (approx 0,15 EUR). You can pay only in cash. Taxi fare is approximately 100 UAH ( approx. 3,2 EUR). If you arrive in Lviv Main Railway Station, you need to go from the main entrance to the bus stop on the right and take the bus №16. Go by bus to the bus stop ‘Street. Kozelnytska / Panas Mirny’. If you arrive in Lviv Main Bus Station (№2 on Styiska Street) take the bus №3a. Go by bus to the bus stop ‘Styiskyy Park / Children railway’. If you come to the Lviv bus station №7 near Lviv Railway Station, see the instructions above. Public transport fare is 5 UAH (approx 0,15 EUR). You can pay only in cash. Important

Reception of guest rooms is located on the fifth floor, right at the end of the corridor, to the right of the Collegium entrance. You need to ask security on the first floor to let you in. If you are coming after the 11 pm or facing any troubles, please call to Reception – +380967567206
