International faculty

Dear international faculty members and staff, let us welcome you in or page. Faculty exchange programs are an important part of the University of UCU’s internationalization strategy. Each year more than 60 international faculty members are lecturing in UCU under Erasmus+, Fulbright and other conditions.

Services for international faculty 

UCU International Office provides several services to guest researchers, guest professors, guest lecturers and administrative staff from other universities. Examples of some of the services provided include accommodation, assistance with visa issues and a guide for incoming personnel.

School of Ukrainian Language and Culture also provides courses of Ukrainian language and culture at different levels for guests. The aim of the course is to give guests a deeper insight into Ukrainian culture and provide a forum to network and meet other visitors.

If you would like to visit UCU to perform teaching or training activities, please consider these options:

1. Exchange under conditions of Bilateral Agreements with Partner Institutions

Ukrainian Catholic University has over 50 bilateral agreements with different international universities. Short and long term visits for teaching and research staff are possible in the framework of those bilateral agreements.  The duration, financial and practical conditions, as well as eligible candidates are specified in each individual case and Agreement.

2. Exchange under Erasmus+

With Erasmus+ Programme and signed Inter-institutional agreements with Partner Universities, opportunities are available to spend time teaching or training at the UCU, which can last a minimum of 5 days and maximum of 2 months.

If you are interested in enriching UCU study offer with your academic course, lectures or professional skills, please check whether your home institution is listed among UCU Erasmus+ partners or contact the  International office of your institution to find out if these opportunities are available to you.

To ensure a well-planned and favorable stay at the Ukrainian Catholic University, please follow the guidelines for all interested members of UCU partner institutions:

Step 1. Contact the international or Erasmus+ office of your higher education institution to find out if the Erasmus+ offer is available to you.

Step 2. Contact the UCU International Office  It will help you to get in touch with an appropriate person/department in order to discuss the content, time, place and length of your visit. Should we be able to welcome you, we will inform you by e-mail as soon as it is possible.

Step 3. Mobility agreement. Before beginning your teaching or training in Lviv, you, your higher education institution and Ukrainian Catholic University sign an Erasmus+ Mobility Agreement. This document sets out your learning goals, rights and responsibilities and also how your teaching or training will be formally recognized. Step 4. Letter of Invitation. As soon as both sides confirm the dates and details, UCU International Office will send you a Letter of Invitation.

Step 5. Accommodation, visa and other practical information. Ukrainian Catholic University tries to provide accommodation for its international guests. If you are interested in staying at UCU University Center, the UCU international Office will help you to book a room. 3. Visiting Faculty

If you would like to visit UCU and perform teaching or training activities, based on your private interest please contact the UCU International Office and we will gladly guide you through the application process.
